- The purpose of the West Park Neighborhood Association is to promote the general welfare of the residents of the West Park area of Canton, Ohio by:
- Maintaining the peace and good order of the area through the encouragement of law enforcement by means of effective crime watch responsibility and the education and communication of matters pertaining to the general welfare of all residents.
- Advocating and initiating matters pertaining to the maintenance and improvement of streets and sidewalks throughout the neighborhood.
- West Park shall be considered that part of the City of Canton including Fulton Road west side south to 10th Street NW north side to McGregor Street west side south to 9th Street both sides to Monument Road north to 25th Street NW east to Fulton Road but would be open to those who reside near these boundaries.
- All persons residing in or owning real estate in West Park area who agree with and endorse the purpose of this association are general members of the West Park Neighborhood Association, and upon paying dues as provided for herein, shall become paid members and be eligible to vote at member meetings and to serve on the board of directors or be elected an officer.
- The Board shall meet monthly on the second Saturday of each month or at the call of the chair. The meeting shall be open to all members of the Association.
- There will be quarterly General Meetings held in April, July, and October.
- Again all members are invited to these meeting and a notice of these meetings shall be posted in the newsletter.
- The annual meeting may be combined with a quarterly meeting and will be a neighborhood picnic which will be held in July in conjunction with the Hall of Fame Kick-Off Weekend. The Annual Meeting shall be posted in the newsletter.
- 4. At each meeting of the general membership all official minutes of the
- Association since the last general meeting shall be available for reading
- unless waived by the membership.
- 5. A majority vote will carry all issues.
- 6. The latest version of Robert’s Rules of Order will control the conduct
- of meetings of the Board and membership.
The officers of the Association shall be President, Vice President,
Secretary, and Treasurer. All officers shall serve for a period of two
- years and are eligible for re-election. In the event of a resignation, death, or disability of any officer the remaining officers shall elect an officer to serve the remainder of his or her term.
