Mission Statement

The West Park Neighborhood Association is dedicated to preserving and securing our neighborhood’s integrity and history, utilizing the many talents and ideas of our resident, ultimately creating a safe and desirable community for those who have chosen to make the neighborhood of West Park their home.

To Our Neighbors,

Spring has arrived which means neighbors are becoming more visible from the winter cold.  Now is a great time to meet your West Park Neighbors and become involved in the association.  This organization has been established for many years, and in the past 4 years has taken a more active position is trying to provide social activities, general meetings, and committees to allow everyone to participate in some capacity.

The board would like to extend an invitation to you to volunteer in any of the following areas:

      • Become an active member
      • Be an officer/board member
      • Volunteer to help/chair a committee
      • Be a Block Captain
  • New members bring new ideas, that which is vital in keeping the West Park Neighbor a great area in which to live.  I realize everyone has many obligations in their lives, but with more hands, less time is needed to complete these activities.  Below are several of the yearly activities WPN is involved with:
      • Fall and Spring Dinner Meetings
      • Breakfast with Santa at Taggart’s
      • Summer Block Party
      • Quarterly newsletters
      • Maintenance of the flower bed on 12th St. - McKinley Monument Park
      • Color Downtown Canton – planting of flowers
      • Placing and taking down of flags and wreaths from the lampposts
  • It takes time and many hands to make this happen and now that spring has arrived, I invite every West Park Neighbor to take pride in their community and become an active participant in the association to make our neighborhood the BEST in Canton City!

If you have any questions about the association,
